Inspired by the Chinese 996 phenomenon—working 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., 6 days a week—this figurine captures the quiet collapse of personal identity under capitalist repetition. His body is rigid, his tie symmetrical, his face blank. He moves through life like a cog in a well-oiled machine. But beneath the surface, resistance simmers. The cracks are forming. Crafted as a conceptual toy, this piece is a reminder of what’s lost in routine—and what might still be reclaimed.
