Babel Tower is the second art-toy collection of cooperation between Plastic Friends and Hunt Soul. The collection is inspired by the Tower of Babel story from the Old Testament’s Genesis, symbolizing the phenomenon of “language confusion”. The design combines the form and symbolism of the Tower of Babel with traditional oil furnace hot enameling (sofubi) techniques and a minimalist sculptural style. The collection Features a skull-shape lighter case and a detachable tower-shaped art toy with three skulls in distinct face expressions. This design reflects the theme of communication barriers, and reminding us that a real connection goes beyond information exchanging.
